Samsung Galaxy S23 FE launch could be imminent – expect a powerful upgrade

There is almost no one who doesn’t love to own a mobile phone. These phones offer a lot of amazing features and facilities at a pocket-friendly price range. They are also quite reliable and can last for a long time without any glitches or issues.

There have been several different Android mobiles launched by Samsung in the past few years and most of them have received an excellent response from users all over the world. One of the most popular devices from Samsung is its flagship series.

Among the latest releases from the Korean brand is the Galaxy S23. The device is the successor to the popular Galaxy S22 fan Edition model and it looks like Samsung has big plans for the new smartphone. Earlier this month, the Galaxy S23 FE was certified by WPC and a live photo of the device surfaced online. The image shows a dark-colored smartphone with thick bezels around the display.

It also has a small punch hole on the top of the display and a volume rocker on the right side. The overall design of the Galaxy S23 FE seems to be in line with the vanilla version of the phone.

A recent report by SamMobile claimed that the Galaxy S23 FE would be based on the Galaxy S22 Lite but will have a few upgrades to its specifications. It is said to have an upgraded 50MP main camera sensor compared to the 12MP one on the S22 Lite and support up to 256GB of storage. The phone is also expected to have 25W fast charging, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.

The most interesting bit about the new Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is its chipset. According to reports, the upcoming smartphone will be powered by an Exynos 2200 chip that is currently powering the European Galaxy S22 models. This is a downgrade from the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset that powers the current flagships from Samsung. It is a bit surprising that the company will use an old chipset for its new fan edition but it can be attributed to the desire to keep the costs down.

As for the launch date, a few different sources have come up with various timelines. Serial leaker Revegnus has suggested that the Galaxy S23 FE will be released in Q3 2023 while another publication called Hankooki is predicting an August or September release date. The latter prediction is in line with the timeline that Samsung followed for its Galaxy S20 FE three years ago, which launched seven months after the rest of the S20 lineup.
